IKSUM SIA is registered in Latvia, in the European Union, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to this processing.
This notice covers the IKSUM presentation website at iksum.lv. Our own products AKTRON and RADARIT, and the Autoserviss 4U customer application, are separate services — the information published on each of those sites applies to them.
The authoritative version of this notice is the Latvian one: Privātuma politika. This English text is provided for convenience.
2. Visiting this site
You do not need an account to read these pages. The site has no visitor analytics, no advertising pixels and no payments. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, not from third-party networks. As checked on 12 September 2026, neither the site nor the hosting server set any cookies.
Hosting and technical processing: SIA “Area IT” (area.lv). The hosting provider states publicly that it is a Latvian company with servers in Latvia, that is, within the European Economic Area.
Like any web server, the host keeps standard access logs: IP address, request time, requested address, response status and size, referring address and browser identifier. These logs are kept as the current month's log on the server plus monthly archives in the hosting account. There is no automatic deletion — archives are deleted manually, and reviewed at least once a year.
Where server logs are used to keep the site available and secure, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
To protect the contact form, the server stores a code derived from your IP address with a secret key, a count of requests and the delivery status of a submission. This limits automated and repeated submissions. It is not used to identify or track visitors, and the same legitimate interest applies.
3. Project enquiries
When you write to us through the contact form or by email, you send your name, a reply email address and a description of what you would like to build. You may optionally add your company or website. Please do not send passwords or sensitive personal data.
We use these details to assess your enquiry and reply to you. If you are asking with a view to entering into a contract, the basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For correspondence with a company representative and for general questions, the basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining business communication (Article 6(1)(f)).
Providing the information is voluntary, but without a reply address and a description of the task we may not be able to help.
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to two years after our last contact, or until you ask us to delete it by writing to info@iksum.lv — whichever comes first.
We do not use your enquiry for marketing, and you do not have to agree to anything beyond this notice in order to send a message.
4. Service providers and transfers
The hosting service named above operates the site. Email is handled by the same Area IT hosting server: the info@iksum.lv mailbox is maintained within the iksum.lv hosting account, and the domain's MX record points to that same server. These providers process only what their role requires.
We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area ourselves. Hosting and email processing take place on Area IT servers in Latvia, and Area IT's privacy policy states that data is not transferred outside the EEA without appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
When you follow a link to one of our projects or to another company's site, you are visiting a different website. Its accounts, cookies and payments are not part of this presentation site.
5. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances of the processing, you may ask for access to your data, its correction, erasure or restriction of processing. Where applicable, you have the right to object to processing and to receive your data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
Send requests to info@iksum.lv. We may need reasonable additional information to confirm your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).
This site does not carry out profiling or automated decision-making about visitors.
